rebellious brother Kamran in Kabul in 1553, in a battle that paved the
way for his return. This painting was commissioned by Akbar c.1597, and
is from the collection of the Aga Khan Museum (*more

The Purana Qila contains a small octagonal pavilion popularly
called
the Sher Mandal, said to have been the place on the stairs of which
Humayun
fell to his death
