"India, (Victoria), famine relief token, brass ½-Seer, 1876, 19.5 mm., RELIEF ½ SEER TOKEN 1876 around circle, central hole, rev. plain, edge grained (Pr.34), some lustre on obverse, good extremely fine/extremely fine, exceedingly rare. Struck for use during the South Indian famine of 1876. Much rarer than the Bengal One Rupee famine grain token of 1874, which is itself rare."
