"A PORTRAIT OF TIPU SULTAN, MYSORE, SOUTH INDIA, CIRCA 1790; gouache on paper, half length, showing Tipu Sultan in profile wearing a green coat and turban. This portrait of Tipu Sultan is very similar to the celebrated painting by an anonymous artist of Mysore, produced in circa 1790-1800, now in the Victoria and Albert Museum (Zamana Gallery 1990, pp.16-17)."
*Tipu Sultan; an oil painting, 1792* (BL)
