"MOTHER AND CHILD. MUGHAL INDIA, 17TH CENTURY. Line drawing heightened with gold and colour wash in some areas, a clearly European-influenced female figure in a landscape wearing classical robes sits in a stool and runs her fingers through the hair of a standing child, mounted on a later Iranian album page with a line of nasta'liq above and below, the miniature slightly worn and with a clear stamp impression. Folio 12¾ x 8¼in. (32.2 x 21cm.); miniature 4¾ x 3½in. (12.2 x 9cm.)."
