"A PANEL OF NASTA'LIQ CALLIGRAPHY. SAFAVID IRAN, SIGNED AHMAD AL-HASANI,
DATED AH 1021/1612-13 AD. Paper laid down on board, four lines of fine
black nasta'liq with signature, in buff clouds outlined in orange, reserved
against a gold ground illuminated with polychrome spiralling floral arabesque
and pale blue cloudbands, and with arabesque panels of black ground containing
gold and polychrome floral arabesque, with similar cornerpieces, trimmed
and mounted on later Qajar khatamkari frame
