"A DOUBLE-SIDED MARBLE TOMBSTONE, FATIMID AND MAMLUK EGYPT, DATED A.H.
646/A.D. 1248-49 AND EARLIER. Measurements note: 56 by 37.7cm. DESCRIPTION:
of rectangular form carved in relief, on one side 7 lines of kufic script
from surat al-Baqqara (ii), verse 18, neither signed nor dated; and on
the other side 6 lines of cursive script with the Basmallah followed by
the obituary "The servant of God, the one needy of God's mercy, al-Haj
Subagh died in the month of Ramadan, the year six hundred and forty six"
(December 1248-January 1249)."
