1a) the occasion for your receiving of your
rights has, after a long time, come |

tumhārī ḥaq-rasī kī baʿd-e muddat āʾī hai |
2a) although your supporters have to face difficulties, 2b) still, for every single difficulty in the world, there's always been a solution |

hai tumhārī ḥāmiyoñ ko mushkiloñ kā sāmnā par ḥal har ik mushkil yūñhīñ dunyā meñ hotī āʾī hai |
3a) stumbling-blocks always hinder the moving
chariot of truth 3b) but when truth herself has conquered, she has conquered in the long run |

haiñ roṛe chaltī gāṛī meñ sachāʾī kī sadā par fat:h jab pāʾī sachāʾī hī ne āḳhir pāʾī hai |

bah ḥāmiyān-e taʿlīm-e nisvān |
4a) oh tongues of the tongueless! arms of the
helpless! 4b) the great event of women's education that has come before you-- |

be-zabānoñ kī zabāno ! be-basoñ ke bazūʾo ! taʿlīm-e nisvāñ kī muhim jo tum ko ab pesh āʾī hai |
5a) when this way-station has confronted communities
before you 5b) firmness has caused their chariot to arrive at the destination |
yih
marḥalah āyā hai pahle tum se jin qaumoñ ko pesh manzil pah gaṛī un kī istiqlāl ne pahuñchāʾī hai |
6a) in a mustard-seed is a mountain, if in
the heart resolve is not steadfast 6b) but when the will has been fixed, then even if there would be a mountain, it's a mustard-seed |
hai
rāʾī meñ parbat agar dil meñ nahīñ ʿazam durust par ṭhān lī jab jī meñ phir parbat bhī ho to rāʾī hai |
7a) is it a small victory, that truth itself
is at your back? |
yih
jīt kyā kam hai kih ḳhvud ḥaq hai tumhārī pusht par jo ḥaq pah muñh āyā hai āḳhir us ne muñh kī khāʾī hai |
8a) those who are partisans ['side-takers']
of the truth-- enough said; their boats have made the crossing 8b) from the direction ['side'] of Bhopal, this voice of a guardian angel has come |
jo
ḥaq ke jānib-dār haiñ bas un ke beṛe pār haiñ bhopāl kī jānib se yih hātif kī āvāz āʾī hai |
9a) this great event that
confronts us, in it is hidden the hand of the Unseen 9b) the sign of the support of Truth, is the help of Sultan Jahan [the Begam of Bhopal] |
hai
jo muhim dar-pesh dast-e ġhaib hai us meñ nihāñ tāʾīd ḥaq kā hai nishāñ imdād-e sult̤ān-e jahāñ |
