mīr gużre donoñ yāñ ʿīd-o-muḥarram ek se
yaʿnī das din jīne ke maiñ apne hī mātam meñ thā

1) Mir, here both passed, Eid and Muharram, like one
2) that is, for the ten days of living, I was in mourning for only/emphatically myself

Notes:

S. R. Faruqi:

Qazi Afzal has made a good point: that Mir has usually envisioned human life as a period of ten days, and bestowed it as necessary for Muharram. In the present verse there is also the idea that ʿīd ul-aẓḥâ falls on the tenth day of the month. In this way the relationship among Eid and Muharram and 'ten days' has been strengthened.
