The opening-verse is by way of introduction. But the wordplay of 'head' and 'mind' is interesting.

It's also a fine touch that bringing the head as low as possible (to rest it on 'that' doorsill), raises the mind as high as possible. In Aristotelian cosmology, the seven celestial spheres were arranged concentrically, so that the seventh was the final and loftiest of the planetary ones:
