In this ghazal, several verses have themes like that of {1683,1}. In the present verse, there's the same ambiguity about the speaker and the addressee that there is in {1683,1}. Although indeed, it doesn't have the understatement of {1683,1}.
Instead, the wordplay of nah jaate and haath se nah jaate is very fine. The implicative style of nah jaate us :taraf too is fine.
